Ensuring a Safe and Supportive Learning Environment

At Alpine College, we are dedicated to maintaining a campus that upholds respect, safety, and dignity for all students, faculty, and staff. As per the mandates of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, the Sexual Harassment Prevention Committee (SHP) has been established to:

  • ✔ Create Awareness regarding sexual harassment prevention policies
  • ✔ Provide Support for individuals who face any form of harassment
  • ✔ Ensure Prompt and Fair Resolution of complaints in a professional manner

Committee Objectives


  • Education & Sensitization: Conducting interactive workshops, seminars, and awareness drives focusing on gender equality and legal rights.
  • Confidential Complaint Mechanism: Offering a secure platform for students and staff to report incidents without fear of retaliation.
  • Thorough Investigation & Redressal: Ensuring a structured and impartial inquiry process to address grievances.
  • Legal Compliance & Disciplinary Measures: Implementing necessary actions in accordance with legal and institutional guidelines.
  • Regular Training & Policy Reviews: Adapting to evolving safety concerns and strengthening institutional policies.

Our committee consists of faculty, legal advisors, external professionals, and student representatives to ensure impartiality, fairness, and transparency in addressing concerns.

Lovepreet Kaur Chairperson (Senior Faculty) Heads the committee and ensures adherence to policies.
Sandeep Kaur Faculty Member Assists in the grievance resolution process.
Jaspreet Kaur External Legal Consultant Provides legal advice and ensures unbiased decision-making.
Manpreet Kaur Women’s Rights Representative Advocates for gender justice and inclusivity.
Prabhjot Kaur Student Member Acts as a liaison between students and the committee.
Kamini Administrative Officer Maintains records and ensures efficient process handling.

Reporting a Complaint


Students, faculty, or staff who experience or witness any form of sexual harassment can report it through the following avenues:
