At Alpine College, we are dedicated to maintaining a campus that upholds respect, safety, and dignity for all students, faculty, and staff. As per the mandates of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, the Sexual Harassment Prevention Committee (SHP) has been established to:

✔ Create Awareness regarding sexual harassment prevention policies
✔ Provide Support for individuals who face any form of harassment
✔ Ensure Prompt and Fair Resolution of complaints in a professional manner

Committee Objectives

✔ Education & Sensitization: Conducting interactive workshops, seminars, and awareness drives focusing on gender equality and legal rights.
✔ Confidential Complaint Mechanism: Offering a secure platform for students and staff to report incidents without fear of retaliation.
✔ Thorough Investigation & Redressal: Ensuring a structured and impartial inquiry process to address grievances.
✔ Legal Compliance & Disciplinary Measures: Implementing necessary actions in accordance with legal and institutional guidelines.
✔ Regular Training & Policy Reviews: Adapting to evolving safety concerns and strengthening institutional policies.

Our committee consists of faculty, legal advisors, external professionals, and student representatives to ensure impartiality, fairness, and transparency in addressing concerns.
